My goals for this work term were quite specific as I knew that this job requires java scripting and for the sake of doing well in the job I will have to learn java scripting to a good level which can help me perform well. Time management is a very important part to succeed in a job. In this position, I understand that the main goal is the timely completion of all the codes and the software developments as assigned by the supervisor.Being an international student, I feel like I need to work on my written communication skills so that I can communicate to my team members and the supervisor in an effective way. This job really helped me to achieve my goals like time management as certain tasks had sharp deadlines and this job also enhanced my coding skills as a lot of grilling of mind was done to complete new complex tasks. This job basically helped me learn Java Scripting which helped me enter the world of web development and backend programming . This also helped me to learn other programming languages under web development such as python selenium and helped me grab another co-op at Rogers.
I feel problem solving is the most important goal to achieve success in this role as a software developer. This is because I am constantly working on the different codes that may or may not work. So it is very important to stay on the top and have problem solving skills so that I can provide the best results to my team and my supervisor.
I was able to achieve all my goals as I was able to complete all the testing on time without feeling pressured and to be able to juggle between different works without feeling overwhelmed. I was also able to convey the clear information to the fellow employees without any confusion.
